Delhi Capitals have risen to the top spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 cricket. Delhi beat Rajasthan Royals by 46 runs in a match played at Sharjah Cricket Ground on Friday night.

After losing the toss, Delhi lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 184 runs. Unable to get off to a good start, Delhi lost the first wicket by 12 runs.

For Delhi, opener Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed for just five runs. After another opener Prithvi Shaw was dismissed for 19, Delhi lost the second wicket for 42 runs.

Similarly, captain Shreyas Ayyar was also dismissed for 22 runs while Delhi’s score was 50 runs. After that, Delhi lost the fourth wicket for 79 runs. Risav Pant returned to the pavilion with just five runs. Marcus Stones scored 39 runs for Delhi while Simron Hitmeyer contributed 45 runs.

Delhi were fifth for 109, sixth for 149 and seventh for 181. Patel scored 17 runs while Hershal Patel contributed 16 runs. In bowling, Rajasthan’s Joffra Archer took three wickets. In reply, Rajasthan were all out for 138 in 19 overs with four balls to spare.

After a poor start, Rajasthan lost the first wicket for 15 runs and lost seven wickets for 100 runs. Jose Butler scored 13 runs for Rajasthan while Steve Smith scored 2 runs.
