Bangalore beat Kolkata by 82 runs to finish third in the league

Royal Challengers Bangalore have won their fifth league’s match in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Bangalore has risen to the third position in the league by defeating Kolkata by 82 runs in the match played on Saturday.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangalore lost two wickets in the allotted overs and scored 194 runs. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal shared 67 runs for the first wicket of Bangalore. Padikkal was dismissed for 32 for the first wicket. Facing 23 balls, he struck four fours and a six.

De Villiers, who came to bat at number four, played a half-century innings and faced 33 balls and scored 73 runs. He struck six sixes and five fours. Kohli hit 33 off 29 balls with one four. Kolkata’s Andre Russell and famous Krishna took one wicket each.

In reply, Kolkata lost 9 wickets in 20 overs and was bowled out for 112 runs. Only three of his players were able to add double digits. Unable to get off to a good start, Kolkata lost the first wicket for 23 runs. After losing the second wicket for 51 runs, Kolkata lost the third wicket for 55 runs. One by one, his middle-order players returned to the pavilion.

When Kolkata scored 64 runs, he lost five important wickets. Tom Banton scored 8 runs while Shubham Gill contributed 34 runs. After losing one wicket after another, Kolkata was bowled out for 112 in the final over. In bowling, Washington Sundar took two wickets for Bangalore. With the win, Bangalore has scored 10 points in seven games.
