IPL: Punjab defeated Bangalore by 8 wickets

Kings XI Punjab have cleaned their second victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In last night’s match, Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets.

Bangalore’s 172-run target in Sharjah was won by Punjab after Nikalos Puran hit a six off the last ball. Punjab reached the target by losing 2 wickets. Hard hitter Chris Gayle, playing for the first time this season, hit a half-century.

He was run out for 53 runs. Punjab’s innings was started by KL Rahul and Mayank Agrawal. 78 runs was shared for the first wicket. The partnership was broken after Agarwal was dismissed for 45 runs. Agrawal hit four fours and three sixes in 25 balls.

Then Chris Gayle came to the crease and played an aggressive innings. Gayle, who faced 45 balls, struck 53 runs with the help of five sixes and a four. With one ball left in the last over, Gayle was run out and was 171-2.

After that, Nicholas Puran, who came to the crease and faced the only ball, hit a six to give Punjab their second victory.

Captain KL Rahul was also not out for 61 runs. Rahul hit five sixes and a four off 49 balls. Yujbendra Chahal of Bangalore took one wicket.

Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Bangalore lost 6 wickets in the allotted overs and scored 171 runs. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikal shared 38 runs for the first wicket of Bangalore.

Padikal was dismissed for 18 off 12 balls. Virat Kohli, who came to the crease after that, gave an excellent performance. He was 2 runs behind the half century. Kohli and Finch led Bangalore’s innings. When Finch was dismissed for 20 runs, Bangalore’s score was 62-2.

After that, Washington Sundar, who came to the crease, did not last long. He returned to the pavilion with an individual score of 13 runs. The team lost Shivam Duve when the score was 127 runs. Both were out for 23 runs. AB de Villiers could not walk today.
