Lalitpur Mayors Cup: APF Club becomes ‘Champion’ for the 3rd consecutive time

Kathmandu – APF Cricket Club of Armed Police has won Lalitpur Mayor’s Cup T20 Cricket Championship title for the third time in a row.

APF became the ‘Champion’ by defeating Koshi Pradesh by 54 runs in the match at the TU Cricket Ground. Chasing the target of 155 runs given by APF, Koshi lost 6 wickets in 20 overs and scored only 100 runs. Rubina Chhetri top scored for Kaeshi with 35 runs. On the bowling side, APF’s Vinu Budha took two wickets and Rekha Rawal, Sonu Khadka and Neri Thapa took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, APF, who batted first, scored 154 runs after losing 1 wicket in 20 overs. Captain Sita Rana Magar scored 79 runs and Indu Burma scored 51 runs for APF.

In the competition, the four teams that made it to the semi-finals of the Prime Minister’s Cup Women’s T-20 Cricket Tournament held in Itahari and the organizer Lalitpur Mayors-11 participated. The semi-finals of the Prime Minister’s Cup were Sudurpaschim Pradesh, Koshi Pradesh, Nepal APF Club and Madhes Pradesh.

APF had won the title in both the previous editions. In both the previous editions, APF defeated Sudurpaschim Pradesh in the final.
